Plan A Birthday Brewery Bash With Event Shuttle Service
A FIRST PERSON ACCOUNT OF A BIRTHDAY BREWERY BASH WITH EVENT SHUTTLE SERVICE
You can’t celebrate a birthday without craft beer, right? That’s what my friends said when they took me out for a Birthday Brewery Bash. I have to agree—it was a night to remember!
Yes, it was a big birthday—I’m not saying which one, but the kind you need to celebrate. And the guys know me and my love for craft beer. They told me to be ready, and they took care of the details.
A Birthday Limo to Remember
A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter limo arrived to pick me up, and my buddies were already aboard and sipping a few. Event Shuttle Service had stocked the cooler in our Party Sprinter with some IPAs and lagers to get started. Kyle popped in a Panthers DVD and we watched and talked on a ride to Carolina Beach.
Our first stop was Good Hops Brewing. This place has a beer garden where dogs and kids are allowed, but we headed to the tap room. I tried a red Proviso Wheat, a Bily Bery Wheat and a Waterspout Stout. We had a few chips and a few birthday toasts.
Then we headed back into the air conditioned Sprinter for the next leg of my birthday bash. No one had to be the Designated Driver; our friendly driver took care of that.
Birthday Beer at the Beach
We played some tunes on the surround sound system on the drive to Wrightsville Beach. There we stopped at a brewery I hadn’t tried yet: Wrightsville Beach Brewery. It was Tuesday, so it was game night, and they had oysters! I sipped an Airlie Amber and a Wilmywood Wit, and Dave raved about the Airlie Amber Ale.
We ate some oysters, but all this beer was making me really hungry. So we took off in the Sprinter again. The guys sang Happy Birthday to me, and they were terrible. Someone has the video on his phone. But we made it to one of my favorites, Waterline Brewing Company in downtown Wilmington under the bridge.
There was a farmer’s market closing up when we got there, but we weren’t feeling like shopping. We did feel like grabbing some chow from the food trucks parked there. We sat down at a table inside and Dave got us all draft Rye IPAs brewed on site.
No Worries on This Birthday Brew Bash
When our driver finally dropped us off at home, we were beered, buzzed, and birthdayed up. It was a perfect birthday with no worries about driving, traffic, or parking. Thanks, guys! It’s my turn to take you out when y’all turn—my age.
