Does your mom like to shop? Take her to this local artist street fair. The Historic Downtown Wilmington Marketplace features more than 30 rotating artists for an ever-changing collection of locally made art, jewelry and handmade items. It’s on Front Street between Market and Dock Streets.

Take Mom to a Film at the Wilmington Jewish Film Festival

If you have a Jewish mother or a film buff mother, this one’s for you! On Mother’s Day, Thalian Hall presents “Noodle,” a film about 37-year-old Miri, a twice-widowed El Al flight attendant whose life is about to change. Check the lineup for lots of other films, too.

Mom Wants Tickets to the Wilmington Wine and Food Festival for Mother’s Day

Benefiting the Bellamy Mansion Museum and local animal rescue efforts, the Wilmington Wine & Food Festival brings together top area chefs with notable wines and wine makers from around the world. From 1 to 4 p.m. May 8, Bubbles, Brews & Street Eats brings in food trucks and local breweries. Mom is getting hungry this Mother’s Day!

Get Arty at the Cameron Art Museum This Mother’s Day

If your mom is an art lover, there are a couple of great exhibits at the Cameron that will make you her favorite on Mother’s Day. She Tells a Story celebrates women artists from the Cameron’s permanent collection, and Patchwork North America shows a series of American landscapes by Virginia Wright-Frierson.
