6 Unique Father’s Day Gift Ideas for 2014

Father’s Day is Sunday, June 15, 2014 and we’ve got a few unique ideas to show Dad just how much you appreciate him this year. From sporting events to pampering, there is something for every Dad on this list!

1. Take Dad fishing

Just because we live in a Coastal town, but that doesn’t mean Dad get’s to enjoy all the perks of it! This year treat him to a day deep sea fishing or even just out to Johnny Mercer’s Peer for an afternoon. Even if he fishes all the time, he may not get to fish with you!

2. Take Dad out to the ball game!

We are fortunate to have many local sporting teams to cheer on including the Wilmington Hammerheads, Wilmington Sharks, UNCW Seahawks, CFCC Sea Devils, and the Wilmington Sea Dawgs. Get some popcorn and cracker jacks too!

The Wilmington Sharks have a home game on Father’s Day this year against the Wilson Tobs at Legion Stadium. The game starts at 7:00pm. Click here for tickets.

3. Pack a picnic and enjoy some live music on the water

Pack a picnic basket and stock a cooler and head out to one of these waterfront outdoor concerts with Dad.

Bluewater Summer Music Series

June 15, 4:00pm go watch free live music from Lunar Tide (classic, modern rock) on the Wrightsville Beach Intracoastal

Holden Beach Pavilion Music Series

June 15, 6:30pm watch free live music from CC Martin (country) at the Holden beach Pavilion (end of Jordan Boulevard)

Friday Variety and Boogie in the Park Concert Series

June 15, 5:00pm, watch free live music from Port City Shakedown (Motown/soul/rock) at Ocean Front Park, 105 Atlantic Ave., Kure Beach

4. Embrace your inner Astronaut and explore the Universe at the Cape Fear Museum

This Father’s day in Wilmington, NC, take Dad to an interactive, hands-on science exhibit that allows him to see the world from a satellite’s perspective. Track a hurricane from space, send a satellite spinning into orbit around a model Earth, and study images of Earth captured by NASA’s Observing System.

5. Send Dad to the Spa

Men love the spa too! A little R&R at Coastal Massage and Bodywork near the Wrightsville Beach Drawbridge will go a long way. Book a massage with our friend, Theresa Anne, and tell her we sent you!

6. Grant Dad a night out, one where he doesn’t have to drive!

We have gift certificates available for purchase for Father’s Day, dinners, a night out or any other occasion. Our luxury fleet includes 4 Mercedes-Benz shuttles that seat up to 12 of his best friends, or fill it up with the family. The best part, Dad won’t have to do any of the planning, driving, or worrying. We handle all that for you. Our professional staff of drivers will make it so Dad can focus on having a good time and not on how he’s getting there!

Our shuttles have flat screen TV’s, surround sound, DVD players, party lights, cooler (that we’ll stock for you!), and plush seating.

If you’d like to book a shuttle for Father’s Day or a future day or purchase a gift certificate give Amanda a call at 910-398-8333 or you can request a quote online.
